Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Easycom Japan Philippines Inc. ("Angat", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use the Angat platform and related services (the "Service").
This Policy is issued in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines.

For employee data uploaded by our customers (employer organizations) into the Service, the customer is the data controller and Angat acts as a data processor on the customer's behalf.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: name, email address, telephone number, organization name, job title;
- Billing information: billing address, BIR registration details, Tax Identification Number, payment instrument details (processed by our payment provider);
- Communications: messages and attachments you send to our support team.
3.2 Customer Data Processed on Behalf of Our Customers
When you use the Service, you may upload personal data about your employees, contractors, or other individuals. This may include:
- Names, addresses, dates of birth, civil status, and contact details;
- Government-issued identification numbers (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, TIN);
- Employment details (job title, department, salary, employment contract);
- Attendance and leave records;
- Payroll and compensation history;
- Bank account details for salary disbursement.
We process this Customer Data strictly in accordance with our customer's instructions, as set out in our Terms of Service and any data processing agreement.
3.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent, click patterns;
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers;
- Log data: access timestamps, error logs, and other diagnostic information.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- To process payments and issue invoices and official receipts;
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- To send service-related notifications and security alerts;
- To improve, customize, and develop new features of the Service;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and abuse;
- To comply with legal obligations under Philippine law.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal information based on one or more of the following legal grounds under the Data Privacy Act:
- Consent: where you have given clear, specific, informed consent;
- Contract: where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you;
- Legal obligation: where processing is required by Philippine law;
- Legitimate interest: where processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by Angat, balanced against your fundamental rights.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers: with trusted third parties who provide infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, customer support tools, and analytics services, under contracts requiring them to safeguard personal information;
- Payment processors: payment information is transmitted directly to PayMongo Philippines, Inc. and similar BSP-supervised processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems;
- Government authorities: when required by law, court order, or legal process, including requests from the National Privacy Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, or other regulatory bodies;
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the recipient will be bound by this Policy;
- With your consent: in any other case where you have provided consent.
7. Data Storage and Security
Customer Data is hosted on enterprise-grade infrastructure located in Singapore. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the cross-border transfer of personal data from the Philippines to Singapore for the purpose of providing the Service.
We implement reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical security measures to protect personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher;
- Encryption of data at rest using AES-256;
- Role-based access controls and audit logging;
- Regular security assessments and vulnerability management;
- Daily encrypted backups with defined retention periods;
- Confidentiality and security training for personnel.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
Customer Data is retained for the duration of the customer's subscription and for thirty (30) days following termination, after which it is securely deleted unless retention is required by law. Financial records are retained for ten (10) years in accordance with Philippine tax regulations.
9. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the following rights:
- Right to be informed about how your personal data is processed;
- Right to access your personal data held by us;
- Right to object to processing based on consent or legitimate interest;
- Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- Right to erasure or blocking of personal data, subject to legal limitations;
- Right to data portability in a commonly used electronic format;
- Right to damages for inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unlawfully obtained personal data;
- Right to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

If you are an employee whose information has been uploaded to the Service by your employer, your employer is the data controller. Please direct requests to exercise your rights to your employer.
10. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Analytics and functional cookies are used only with appropriate consent where required by law. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a minor without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and where appropriate, by sending you a direct notice. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
